Is the hype of Apple cider vinegar justified?
Apple cidecider vinegar(ACV) has been used as a health remedy since Greek times! Apple cider vinager is apple juice with added yeast which turns the sugar into alcohol. This is called fermentation. Bacteria turns the alcohol into acetic acid.
Apple cider vinegar has been used as a home remedy for years, but in recent years there has been more scientific research conducted on it. Some of the findings have been that it may help with weight loss, and regulate and stablelized blood sugar and insulin levels. It also contains polyphenols which help stop cell damage that can lead to many diseases.
But CAUTION! ACV, because of its high acidity can also have ill effects like damging your teeth, hurting your throat and upset your stomach.
However, in moderation, it should not harm you. A good amount to take is 2 tablespoons of ACV in a glass of water a day.
